Foremast on the starting line of the Vendée Globe 2024
Clarisse Crémer: a passionate adventurer who became a renowned skipper
Born in 1989 in Paris, Clarisse Crémer discovered her passion for sailing relatively late in life, after studying business at HEC. She began her career as an amateur, then competed in the Mini-Transat in 2017, a solo race that marked a turning point in her career.
It was during this experience that she stood out for her energy and courage in the face of challenges. Clarisse quickly built a reputation as an adventurer and embarked on ocean racing projects.

This portrait of Clarisse Crémer reflects her authenticity and competitive spirit, qualities that immediately appealed to the Mat de Misaine team. It was therefore only natural that the brand decided to dress the members of Team OCCITANE.
During a fitting session in our iconic Les Sables d'Olonne boutique, Clarisse and Alex honored us with their presence on October 25. To celebrate their visit, we chose to offer them some key pieces from our collection: the VENTOUE and MAKI striped tops, as well as the PANILLO and PIMORI pants, not to mention the HAW and FLIGO coats.
For her second solo round the world race, Clarisse will be supported by Alex Thomson, a Vendée Globe veteran, forming with him a duo that combines youth and experience.

Aboard L'OCCITANE EN PROVENCE, a boat measuring 5.85 meters long and 18.28 meters high, Clarisse is preparing to take on the oceans in the 2024 Vendée Globe. This monohull, specially designed to withstand extreme conditions, will be the ideal partner for this solo race.
On November 10, she will embark on an adventure where she will have to push her limits and navigate some of the most formidable seas in the world, ready to take on every challenge that this legendary race imposes.
Before the start, you can find them and their team at the entrance to the Vendée Globe Village from October 19 to November 10.
