Mohair

Are you looking for a material that's both durable and luxurious? Mohair is the fabric for you!

Sourced from Angora goats, this natural fiber is renowned for its incomparable softness and lightness. In addition to its delicate feel, mohair offers great resistance to wear, making it an ideal choice for durable, high-quality clothing.

Mohair is distinguished by its ability to retain warmth while remaining breathable, ensuring unparalleled comfort in all seasons. Perfect for sweaters, scarves, or even coats, it adds a touch of elegance to any room.

    Care instructions

    hand wash

Hand washing mohair is the safest method. Use cold or lukewarm water (maximum 30°C) with a mild soap or wool detergent. Gently soak the item without rubbing. Rinse in cold water, avoiding twisting or wringing to avoid damaging the fibers.

    Machine wash

If you prefer to wash your item in the washing machine, choose a special wool program or a delicate cycle at a low temperature. Place the item in a laundry bag to avoid excessive friction.

    Drying

Mohair should never be hung to dry, as this can distort the fabric. Instead, dry it flat on a clean towel, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Gently squeeze out excess water with a towel before laying it flat.

    Ironing

Mohair should not be ironed, as heat can damage the texture of the fibers. If the item is wrinkled, you can use a remote steamer or hang the garment in a bathroom after a hot shower to relax the fibers.

    additional tips

    Ventilate regularly:
Rather than washing frequently, it is recommended to air your mohair garments after wearing them. This refreshes the fibers without the need for washing.

    Storage:
Store your mohair items in a dry place, preferably flat to prevent them from warping. It's recommended to protect them in a fabric cover (avoid plastic bags) to allow the material to breathe. Use cedar balls or lavender to repel moths.
