Mat de Misaine Supports the Fête de la Mer in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie

On 15 August 2026, Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie will once again celebrate the Fête de la Mer (Festival of the Sea), a much-loved annual event honouring the region's maritime heritage, the women and men who make their living from the sea, and the spirit of solidarity that defines the Atlantic coast.

On this occasion, Mat de Misaine is proud to support this community celebration, organised in aid of the Association des Familles de Péris en Mer and the SNSM (French Sea Rescue Society) of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.

A Day Dedicated to the Sea and Community Spirit

From 10:00 am to 11:00 pm, the harbour of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie will come alive with a wide range of activities for all ages, including:

• Sea trips (supporting the Association des Familles de Péris en Mer)
• Photography exhibition
• Maritime crafts
• Children's activities
• The presence of the HOPE vessel
• Live entertainment and traditional sea shanties
• Charity raffle
• Sardine barbecue and evening dance organised by the SNSM

A festive programme celebrating the richness of maritime culture while bringing together local residents, visitors and everyone who shares a love of the sea.
