L’Aventura 2026: Mat de Misaine Alongside the Offshore Sailing Race

2,354 nautical miles and 16 days at sea. The first edition of L’Aventura came to an end after a sporting adventure at the heart of the Atlantic.

This new offshore sailing race connected Port Bourgenay, Lagos in Portugal and Île d’Yeu, bringing skippers together for a challenging course.

For this first edition, Mat de Misaine was proud to partner with L’Aventura, an adventure that naturally echoes our history and our deep connection to the Atlantic Ocean.

A New Offshore Race at the Heart of the Atlantic

From the Vendée coast to the shores of Portugal, before returning to Île d’Yeu, L’Aventura took the crews on a course covering more than 2,354 nautical miles.

Over 16 days at sea, the skippers lived to the rhythm of sailing and offshore racing.

For Mat de Misaine, supporting this first edition held particular significance. Born in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and inspired by the ocean, our brand has maintained a close connection with the Atlantic coastline and its maritime heritage since its beginnings.

Lola Billy and Jules Ducellier Finish in 5th Place

This first edition also ended with an excellent performance from Lola Billy and Jules Ducellier.

Aboard the Figaro 3 Région Bretagne-CMB Océane, the duo secured 5th place overall after 16 days at sea.

A strong result to round off an adventure covering more than 2,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic.

Congratulations to Lola and Jules on their journey and determination, as well as to all the skippers who took part in this first edition.

Offshore Racing, a World Close to Our Hearts

From Port Bourgenay to Île d’Yeu, a Route That Echoes Our Story

The L’Aventura route has a particular resonance for Mat de Misaine. After setting off from Port Bourgenay, the skippers sailed to Lagos in Portugal before returning to the Vendée coast and Île d’Yeu.

These two destinations also echo our own story, as Mat de Misaine now has stores in both Port Bourgenay and Île d’Yeu.

From the Vendée coast to the open Atlantic, the route therefore crosses places to which our brand has a particularly strong connection.

The First Edition Comes to an End, with New Adventures Ahead

This first edition of L’Aventura offered an opportunity to share a new human and sporting adventure centred around the Atlantic.

We are delighted to have supported this first edition and, in our own way, to have shared a few nautical miles alongside those who bring offshore racing to life.
